ELR stands for Elevated-LOGIC-Reflector, and the 45 expresses the beam angle at which the reflectors direct light from the pucks.
The ELR-45 works by reflecting the lateral light emitted from the LOGIC pucks. Without using a reflector, the lateral light from the pucks normally gets diffused into the grow room walls, typically going unused by the plant canopy below (depending on your grow room setup). By adding the ELR-45 to the LOGIC puck, the lateral light is now projected downward at a 45 degree beam angle toward the plant canopy where it can now be absorbed and used by the plants below. This increases the penetration, intensity, coverage area and efficiency of each puck in your garden!
I have tested and designed multiple variations of these reflectors. Based on community feedback and my own personal testing and data collection, this specific design is the most effective at producing the best penetration/coverage ratio.
After communicating with multiple growers and observing ChilLED Tech/GrowMau5’s recommendations, the average hanging height for these pucks without a reflector is about 18″ from plant canopy in most cases. With the addition of the ELR-45 reflector, growers will be able to make their LOGIC pucks more powerful and versatile. For example, once the reflectors have been attached to the puck, growers will find that they do not have to run their pucks as hard to achieve their targeted PPFD numbers at the plant canopy. The hanging height and the intensity at which the LOGIC pucks are ran, can now be readjusted and tailored to your specific setup and needs. The ELR-45 can save you money in the long run, and also produce a heavier harvest!
